أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى أَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْحَافِظُ ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ قَالَ
«خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ»
