al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 5628

✧ Virtues of Hudhayfah b. al-Yaman: "Indeed, he is Hudhayfah b. Huseil, and Hudhayfah is the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ أَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا أُتِيَ حُذَيْفَةُ بِكَفَنِهِ وَكَانَ مُسْنَدًا إِلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ فَأُتِيَ بِكَفَنٍ جَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ «مَا تَصْنَعُونَ بِهَذَا إِنْ كَانَ صَاحِبُكُمْ صَالِحًا لَيُبَدِّلَنَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ لَيَضْرِبَنَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ وَجْهَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ When Hudhayfah was brought his shroud, and he was leaning against Ibn Mas'ud, a new shroud was brought. He said: "What will you do with this? If your companion is righteous, Allah will surely replace it for him, and if he is otherwise, Allah will surely strike his face with it on the Day of Resurrection."
