✧ When death approached Abu Dharr, I wept. He said to me, 'What makes you weep?' I said, 'Why should I not weep when you are dying in a desolate land, and I do not have a garment large enough to serve as a shroud for you and me, and there is no escape from a bier for you.' He said, 'Rejoice and do not weep, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "No two Muslim parents lose two or three children and seek reward, but they will never see the Fire."' Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
