وَقَدْ أَخْبَرْنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
نَعَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ مُؤْتَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «فَأَخَذَ اللِّوَاءَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ وَهُوَ سَيْفٌ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللَّهِ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ announced the deaths of the people of Mu'tah from the pulpit, then said: "Then Khalid b. al-Walid took the standard, and he is a sword among the swords of Allah."
