✧ I set out heading to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I met Khalid b. al-Walid shortly before the conquest, while he was coming from Makkah. I said: Where are you heading, O Abu Sulayman? He said: By Allah, the brand has straightened, and indeed the man is a prophet; I am going to submit. Until when? He said: "We arrived in Madinah to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Khalid b. al-Walid went forward, submitted, and pledged allegiance. Then I approached, pledged allegiance, and departed." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
