أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
قَدِمْنَا مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَتُلُقِّينَا بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَكَانَ غِلْمَانُ الْأَنْصَارِ يَتَلَقَّوْنَ بِهِمْ إِذَا قَدِمُوا فَتَلَقَّوْا أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ فَنَعَوْا إِلَيْهِ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَقَنَّعَ يَبْكِي قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ أَنْتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَلَكَ السَّابِقَةُ مَا لَكَ تَبْكِي عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ؟ فَكَشَفَ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ صَدَقْتِ لَعَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ لَيَحِقُّ أَنْ لَا أَبْكِيَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ بَعْدَ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ وَمَا قَالَ؟ قَالَ «لَقَدِ اهْتَزَّ الْعَرْشُ لِوَفَاةِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ» قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَأُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ يَسِيرُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه

✧ We came from a journey and were met at Dhu al-Hulayfa. The boys of the Ansar used to meet them when they arrived. They met Usayd b. Hudayr and informed him of the death of his wife, so he covered his head and wept. She said: I said to him, 'Glory be to Allah! You are one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and you have precedence; why do you weep over a woman?' He uncovered his head and said, 'You have spoken the truth. By the life of Allah, by Allah, it is right that I should not weep over anyone after Sa'd b. Mu'adh, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said what he said.' I said to him, 'And what did he say?' He said, 'The Throne shook at the death of Sa'd b. Mu'adh.' 'A'isha said: And Usayd b. Hudayr was riding between me and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Sahih according to the conditions of Muslim, but they did not include it. Al-Dhahabi omitted this from al-Talkhis due to its weakness.
