وَحَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ
حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ رَأَى بِلَالًا «كَانَ رَجُلًا شَدِيدَ الْأَدَمَةِ نَحِيفًا طُوَالًا أَحْنَأَ لَهُ شَعْرٌ كَثِيرٌ خَفِيفُ الْعَارِضَيْنِ بِهِ شَمَطٌ كَثِيرٌ وَلَا يُغَيِّرُ وَشَهِدَ بِلَالٌ بَدْرًا وَأُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ وَالْمَشَاهِدَ كُلَّهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ آخَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ»
Translation

✧ Someone who saw Bilal narrated to me: "He was a man of very dark complexion, thin, tall, with a slight stoop. He had abundant hair, light sideburns, and much gray hair, which he did not dye. Bilal was present at Badr, Uhud, the Trench, and all the battles with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ established brotherhood between him and Ubayda b. al-Harith b. Abd al-Muttalib."
