حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّيِّبِ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ثنا مُحْمِشُ بْنُ عِصَامٍ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ الْفَضْلَ كَانَ رَدِيفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ جَمَعَ فَلَمَّا أَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالسَّكِينَةِ فَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيْسَ بِإِيضَاعِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه

✧ Al-Fadl was riding behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the night of Muzdalifah. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed, he said: “O people, be calm, for righteousness is not in making horses and camels hurry.” Al-Dhahabi omitted this from the summary due to its weakness.
