أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ ثنا جَدِّي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحِزَامِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ
«مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَحَدُ بَنِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَاتَ سَنَةَ ثَمَانَ عَشْرَةَ فِي طَاعُونِ عَمَوَاسٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَمَانٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ سَنَةً»

✧ Mu'adh b. Jabal b. 'Amr, one of the Banu Salamah b. al-Khazraj, whose kunyah is Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, died in the year eighteen during the plague of 'Amwas, and he was thirty-eight years old.
