فَحَدَّثَنَا بِشَرْحِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ قَالَ
«أَسْلَمَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ عَامِرُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَأَصْحَابِهِمْ قَبْلَ دُخُولِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ دَارَ الْأَرْقَمِ هَاجَرَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ الْهِجْرَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ وَشَهِدَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بَدْرًا وَأُحُدًا وَثَبَتَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حِينَ انْهَزَمَ النَّاسُ وَهُوَ الَّذِي نَزَعَ بِثَنِيَّتِيهِ حَلْقَتَيْ مِغْفَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ اللَّتَيْنِ كَانَتَا دَخَلَتَا فِي وَجْنَتَيْهِ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتَا أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بِنَزْعِهِ ذَلِكَ فَكَانَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ أَثْرَمَ الثَّنَايَا» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه

✧ Abu Ubaidah Amir b. al-Jarrah embraced Islam along with Uthman b. Maz'un, Abd al-Rahman b. Awf, and their companions before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the house of al-Arqam. Abu Ubaidah migrated to the land of Abyssinia in the second migration. Abu Ubaidah witnessed Badr and Uhud, and he remained firm on the day of Uhud with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the people fled. He is the one who pulled out with his two front teeth the two rings of the helmet of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that had entered his cheeks, and the two front teeth of Abu Ubaidah fell out by that pulling, so Abu Ubaidah became the most broken-toothed of men. Al-Dhahabi omitted it from the Talkhis due to its weakness.
