أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ
«تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ وَكَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا ثَابِتٍ بِحُورَانَ مِنْ أَرْضِ الشَّامِ لِسَنَتَيْنِ وَنِصْفٍ مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ وَذَلِكَ آخِرَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ»

✧ "Sa'd b. 'Ubadah, whose kunyah was Abu Thabit, died in Hawran in the land of Syria two and a half years into the caliphate of 'Umar, and that was at the end of the fifteenth year."
