وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَطَّةَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ «عَبَّادُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ وَقْشِ بْنِ زُغْبَةَ بْنِ زَعُورَاءَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا بِشْرٍ»
وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ «كَانَ يُكَنَّى أَبَا الرَّبِيعِ أَسْلَمَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى يَدَيْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ إِسْلَامِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ وَشَهِدَ عَبَّادُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ بَدْرًا وَكَانَ فِيمَنْ قَتَلَ كَعْبَ بْنَ الْأَشْرَفِ وَشَهِدَ أَيْضًا أُحُدًا وَالْخَنْدَقَ وَالْمَشَاهِدَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَشَهِدَ أَيْضًا يَوْمَ الْيَمَامَةِ وَكَانَ لَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَلَاءٌ وَعَنَاءٌ وَمُبَاشَرَةٌ لِلْقِتَالِ حَتَّى قُتِلَ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَهِيدًا وَذَلِكَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص لضعفه

✧ Abdullah b. Muhammad b. Bishr b. Umarah said: "He was given the kunya Abu al-Rabi'. He accepted Islam in Madinah at the hands of Mus'ab b. Umayr, and that was before the conversion of Sa'd b. Muadh. Abbad b. Bishr witnessed Badr and was among those who killed Ka'b b. al-Ashraf. He also witnessed Uhud, the Trench, and all the battle scenes with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He also witnessed the day of al-Yamamah, and on that day he showed great valor, hardship, and direct engagement in fighting until he was martyred. That was in the year twelve, and he was forty-five years old." Al-Dhahabi omitted it from the Talkhis due to its weakness.
