✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after the night prayer. Then I came, and he said to me, “Where were you?” I said, “We were listening to the recitation of a man among your companions in the mosque; I have never heard a voice or recitation like his from any of your companions.” He stood up and I stood with him until he listened to him, then he turned to me and said, “This is Salim, the freedman of Abu Hudhayfah. Praise be to Allah who has placed in my nation someone like this.” (Sahih according to the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not include it) thus according to the condition of al-Bukhari and Muslim.
