✧ virtues of Abu Hudhayfah "He is Hushaym b. Uthbah b. Rabee'ah b. 'Abd Shams b. 'Abd Manaf, the beloved of Allah and the enemy of Allah and the enemy of the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ . He was killed on the Day of Yamamah in the year twelve of the Hijrah, and he was either fifty-three or fifty-four years old.

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ اسْمُهُ حِسْلٌ أَنَا أَخْشَى
أَنَّهُ وَهِمَ فِيهِ فَإِنَّ الْيَمَانَ وَالِدُ حُذَيْفَةَ يُلَقَّبُ بِحِسْلٍ وَقِيلَ إِنَّ اسْمُهُ عِسْلٌ
