حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ ثنا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَأَى فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ قَالَ «رَأَيْتُ كَأَنِّي مُرْدِفٌ كَبْشًا وَكَأَنَّ ضَبَّةَ سَيْفِي انْكَسَرَتْ فَأَوَّلْتُ أَنْ أَقْتُلَ كَبْشَ الْقَوْمِ وَأَوَّلْتُ أَنَّ ضَبَّةَ سَيْفِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ عِتْرَتِي» فَقُتِلَ حَمْزَةُ وَقَتَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ طَلْحَةَ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ لِوَاءِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw in a dream: He said, 'I saw as if I was riding behind a ram, and as if the pommel of my sword broke. I interpreted it as that I would kill the ram of the people, and I interpreted the pommel of my sword as a man from my kin.' Then Hamza was killed, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ killed Talha, who was the bearer of the banner of the polytheists.
