حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ الصُّنَابِحِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَ بْنَ مِهْرَانَ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ
«مَا يَسُرُّنِي إِنْ أَخَذْتُ سَيْفِي فِي قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ وَإِنَّ لِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا»
