الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَامِدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ سَمِعْتُ كَثِيرًا أَبَا النَّضْرٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيَّ بْنَ حِرَاشٍ يَقُولُ

انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى حُذَيْفَةَ بِالْمَدَائِنِ لَيَالِيَ سَارَ النَّاسُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ مَا فَعَلَ قَوْمُكَ؟ قَالَ عَنْ أَيِّ حَالِهِمْ تَسْأَلُ؟ قَالَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَسَمَّيْتُ لَهُ رَجُلًا مِمَّنْ خَرَجَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَاسْتَبْدَلَ الْإِمَارَةَ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ»

✧ "I went to Hudhayfah in al-Mada'in during the nights when the people marched against Uthman. He said, 'O my son, what did your people do?' I said, 'Which of their conditions do you ask about?' He said, 'Who among them went out against this man?' I named for him a man who had gone out. He said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever separates from the community and takes up leadership will meet Allah with no argument in his favor.""
