أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي دَارِمٍ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا قَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْخُرَيْبِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ

«حَجَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ حِجَجًا وَحَجَّ بَعْدَمَا هَاجَرَ الْوَدَاعَ وَكَانَ جَمِيعُ مَا جَاءَ بِهِ مِائَةُ بَدَنَةٍ فِيهَا جَمَلٌ كَانَ فِي أَنْفِهِ بُرَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ نَحَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَسِتِّينَ وَنَحَرَ عَلِيٌّ مَا غَبَرَ» فَقِيلَ لِلثَّوْرِيِّ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ؟ فَقَالَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

✧ "The Prophet ﷺ performed ḥajj several times before he emigrated, and after he emigrated he performed the Farewell ḥajj. The total number of sacrificial camels he brought was one hundred, among them a camel with a silver nose ring. The Prophet ﷺ slaughtered sixty-three with his own hand, and ʿAlī slaughtered the rest." It was said to al-Thawrī: "Who mentioned it?" He said: "Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad from his father from Jābir, and Ibn Abī Laylā from Miqsam from Ibn ʿAbbās."
