Abi Sarh: {And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or says: It was revealed to me, while nothing was revealed to him, and who says: I will send down the like of what Allah has sent down} [al-An'am: 93]. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah, he fled to 'Uthman b. 'Affan, who was his foster brother, and 'Uthman hid him until the people of Makkah became calm, then he brought him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and sought amnesty for him.»

machine translationAl-Ḥākim said: "The report is authentic in the two books that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, before entering Mecca, ordered the killing of ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿd and ʿAbdullāh b. Khaṭal. Whoever looks into the killing of the Commander of the Believers ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān, and the crimes of ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿd against him in Egypt, until his affair came to what it came to, will know that the Prophet ﷺ knew him better." Al-Dhahabī remained silent about it in al-Talkhīṣ.
