✧ «The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent 'Amr b. al-'As on the expedition of Dhat al-Salasil, and among them were Abu Bakr and 'Umar. When they reached the place of fighting, 'Amr ordered them not to light a fire. 'Umar became angry and wanted to take him to task, but Abu Bakr forbade him and told him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had not appointed him over you except because of his knowledge of war. So 'Umar calmed down.»
