أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى ثنا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَنْبَأَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ طَلْحَةَ
«أَنَّ طَلْحَةَ رَجَعَ بِسَبْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ بَيْنَ ضَرْبَةٍ وَطَعْنَةٍ وَرَمْيَةٍ تَرَصَّعَ جَبِينُهُ وَقُطِعَتْ سَبَّابَتُهُ وَشُلَّتِ الْإِصْبَعُ الَّتِي تَلِيهَا»

✧ Ṭalḥah returned with thirty-seven or thirty-five wounds between strikes, stabs, and shots. His forehead was scarred, his index finger was cut off, and the finger next to it was paralyzed.
