✧ Then to Jacob was born Joseph the truthful, whom Allah chose, selected, and honored, and allotted him two-thirds of beauty and allotted one-third among His servants. He resembled Adam on the day Allah created him, formed him, and breathed into him of His spirit before sin touched him. When Adam disobeyed, light, radiance, and beauty were stripped from him. Allah had given Adam beauty, comeliness, light, and radiance on the day He created him, but when he did what he did and fell into sin, that was taken from him. Then Allah granted Adam one-third of beauty along with the repentance He accepted from him. Thereafter Allah gave Joseph the beauty, comeliness, light, and radiance that He had stripped from Adam when he sinned. That is because Allah loved to show His servants that He is capable of whatever He wills. He gave Joseph such beauty and comeliness as He gave no one among people. Then Allah gave him knowledge of dream interpretation. He would report a matter he had seen in his sleep that it would come to be, and before it came to be, Allah taught him as He taught Adam all the names. When he smiled, you would see light in his front teeth; when he spoke, you would see rays of light in his speech, blazing between his incisors.
