حَدَّثَنَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ السَّكَنِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثنا مُبَارَكٌ أَبُو سُحَيْمٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَرْبَعًا

«سَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَمُوتَ جُوعًا فَأُعْطِيَ ذَلِكَ وَسَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ فَأُعْطِيَ ذَلِكَ وَسَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَرْتَدُّوا كُفَّارًا فَأُعْطِيَ ذَلِكَ وَسَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَغْلِبَهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لَهُمْ فَيَسْتَبِيحَ بَأْسَهُمْ فَأُعْطِيَ ذَلِكَ وَسَأَلَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ لَا يَكُونَ بَأْسَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ فَلَمْ يُعْطَ ذَلِكَ»

✧ "He asked his Lord that they not die of hunger, and that was granted. He asked his Lord that they not unite upon misguidance, and that was granted. He asked his Lord that they not turn back to disbelief, and that was granted. He asked his Lord that no enemy of theirs overcome them and deem their might permissible, and that was granted. He asked his Lord that their might not be between them, and that was not granted."
