حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ الْعُلْيَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ثُمَّ فُرِّقَ فِي السِّنِينَ قَالَ وَتَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ}

✧ The Quran was sent down on the Night of Decree from the highest heaven to the lowest heaven all at once, then it was divided over the years. He said: And he recited this verse {No! I swear by the positions of the stars, and indeed it is an oath, if you knew, great.}
