حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الْبُوزَنْجِرْدِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْفَقِيهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ بِنَيْسَابُورَ ثنا أَبُو الْمُوَجَّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَحدثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصُّوفِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقَارِئُ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُوقَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عُمَرُ بِالْجَابِيَةِ فَقَالَ

إِنِّي قُمْتُ فِيكُمْ كَمَقَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِينَا فَقَالَ «أُوصِيكُمْ بِأَصْحَابِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَفْشُو الْكَذِبُ حَتَّى يَحْلِفَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَا يُسْتَحْلَفُ وَيَشْهَدَ وَلَا يُسْتَشْهَدُ فَمَنْ أَرَادَ مِنْكُمْ بُحْبُوحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمِ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مِنَ الِاثْنَيْنِ أَبْعَدُ أَلَا لَا يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلَّا كَانَ ثَالِثَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مِنَ الِاثْنَيْنِ أَبْعَدُ أَلَا وَمَنْ سَرَّتْهُ حَسَنَتُهُ وَسَاءَتْهُ سَيِّئَتُهُ فَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ»

✧ I stood among you as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us, and he said: “I enjoin you to my Companions, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then lying will spread, until a man swears and is not asked to swear, and gives testimony and is not asked to testify. Whoever among you desires the spaciousness of Paradise, let him cling to the community, for Satan is with the solitary individual and is farther from two. Indeed, no man should be alone with a woman except that Satan is the third of them.” He said it three times. “And upon you is the community, for Satan is with the solitary individual and is farther from two. Indeed, whoever is pleased by his good deeds and distressed by his evil deeds is a believer.”

  • «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ فَإِنِّي لَا أَعْلَمُ خِلَافًا بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ فِي إِقَامَةِ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْهُ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَلَهُ شَاهِدَانِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ قَدْ يُسْتَشْهَدُ بِمِثْلِهِمَا فِي مِثْلِ هَذِهِ الْمَوَاضِعِ أَمَّا الشَّاهِدُ الْأَوَّلُ»

It has two supporting narrations (shāhid) from Muḥammad b. Sūqah, the like of which may be used as corroboration in such places. As for the first supporting narration:"
