أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْأَفْطَسِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ جَعَلْتُ امْرَأَتِي عَلَيَّ حَرَامًا فَقَالَ كَذَبْتَ لَيْسَتْ عَلَيْكَ بِحَرَامٍ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لَمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ تَبْتَغِي} [التحريم 1] الْآيَةُ

✧ A man came to him and said: 'I have made my wife forbidden to me.' He said: 'You have lied; she is not forbidden to you.' Then he recited this verse: {O Prophet, why do you forbid what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking} [al-Tahrim 1] the verse.
