حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ السِّيرَافِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَامِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ
سَمِعَ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ عِبَادٍ الدُّؤَلِيَّ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمِنًى فِي مَنَازِلِهِمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَعْبُدُوهُ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا» قَالَ وَوَرَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ هَذَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَتْرُكُوا دَيْنَ آبَائِكُمْ فَسَأَلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا الرَّجُلُ؟ قِيلَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ

✧ He heard Rabi'ah b. 'Ibad al-Du'ali say: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at Mina in their dwellings before he migrated to Madinah, saying: "O people, Allah commands you to worship Him and not associate anything with Him." He said: Behind him a man was saying: "O people, this one commands you to abandon the religion of your forefathers." I asked: "Who is this man?" It was said: "Abu Lahab."
