✧ That he heard Miqdam b. Ma'dikarib al-Kindi, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ, say: The Prophet ﷺ forbade certain things on the day of Khaybar, among them the domestic donkey and others. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is near that a man among you will sit on his couch and be told of my hadith, and he will say, "Between us and you is the Book of Allah; whatever we find in it lawful, we deem lawful, and whatever we find in it unlawful, we deem unlawful." Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade just as Allah forbade.' As for the second hadith: al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
