✧ Abū Ṭālib fell ill, so the Quraysh came, and the Prophet ﷺ came. At the head of Abū Ṭālib there was a place for one man to sit, so Abū Jahl stood up to prevent him from that. They complained about him to Abū Ṭālib, who said: "O son of my brother, what do you want from your people?" He said: "O uncle, I only want from them one word by which the Arabs will be humbled before them and by which the tribute of the non-Arabs will be brought to them." He said: "One word?" He said: "One word." He said: "What is it?" He said: "Lā ilāha illā Allāh." They said: "Has he made the gods one god? Indeed, this is a strange thing." And it was revealed concerning them: {Ṣād, by the Qur’ān full of remembrance} [Ṣād: 1] until it reached {This is nothing but an invention} [Ṣād: 7].
