✧ From the followers of Noah to Ibrahim, following his method and his Sunnah, he reached the age of maturity until his actions were comparable to the actions of Ibrahim. When they submitted to what they were commanded, Allah commanded Ibrahim to present his forehead and he placed his face towards the ground. Ibrahim said, "Do not slaughter me while you are looking at me. Perhaps you will have mercy on me, so do not prepare yourself to slaughter me. Tie my hands to my neck and then place my face on the ground." When he put his hand to slaughter him, the blade did not cut until the call came, "O Ibrahim, you have indeed fulfilled the vision." (Surah As-Saffat, 105) So he held his hand and raised his words, "And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice." (Surah As-Saffat,107) With a great ram that was accepted. Ibn 'Abbas claimed that the sacrificed one was Ismael.
