✧ He said, "O Messenger of Allah, should I write down what I hear from you?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Should I write down both when you are angry and when you are pleased?" He said, "Yes, for it is not permissible for me to speak except the truth." So let the seeker of this knowledge know that no one ever narrated in the lifetime of Amr ibn Shu'aib except Muslim, who heard from Shu'aib through Abdullah ibn Amr. And when a hadith is narrated from Amr ibn Shu'aib from Mujahid from Abdullah ibn Amr, then it is an authentic hadith, although I have mentioned it as a witness to the hadith of Abdul Wahid ibn Qays, and this same hadith has been narrated verbatim from Yusuf ibn Mahak.
