أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي فَائِدٌ مَوْلَى عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَخْبَرَتْهُ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ لَرَحِمَ أُمَّ الصَّبِيِّ» قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «كَانَ نُوحٌ مَكَثَ فِي قَوْمِهِ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا يَدْعُوهُمْ حَتَّى كَانَ آخِرَ زَمَانِهِ غَرَسَ شَجَرَةً فَعَظُمَتْ وَذَهَبَتْ كُلَّ مَذْهَبٍ ثُمَّ قَطَعَهَا ثُمَّ جَعَلَ يَعْمَلُهَا سَفِينَةً وَيَمُرُّونَ فَيَسْأَلُونَهُ فَيَقُولُ أَعْمَلُهَا سَفِينَةً فَيَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَقُولُونَ تَعْمَلُ سَفِينَةً فِي الْبَرِّ وَكَيْفَ تَجْرِي؟ قَالَ سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْهَا فَارَ التَّنُّورُ وَكَثُرَ الْمَاءُ فِي السِّكَكِ خَشِيَتْ أُمُّ الصَّبِيِّ عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَتْ تُحِبُّهُ حُبًّا شَدِيدًا فَخَرَجَتْ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ حَتَّى بَلَغَتْ ثُلْمَةً فَلَمَّا بَلَغَهَا الْمَاءُ خَرَجَتْ بِهِ حَتَّى اسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجَبَلِ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الْمَاءُ رَقَبَتَهَا رَفَعَتْهُ بِيَدِهَا حَتَّى ذَهَبَ بِهَا الْمَاءُ فَلَوْ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ أَحَدًا لَرَحِمَ أُمَّ الصَّبِيِّ۔»
Translation

- ʿĀʾishah Zawj al-Nabī ﷺ
✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If Allah had shown mercy to anyone from the people of Nuh, He would have shown mercy to the mother of the child." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Nuh remained among his people for a thousand years less fifty, calling them, until at the end of his time he planted a tree. It grew large and spread in every direction. Then he cut it down and began making it into a ship. They would pass by and ask him, and he would say, 'I am making it into a ship.' They would mock him and say, 'You are making a ship on land? How will it sail?' He said, 'You will soon know.' When he finished it, the oven gushed forth and water increased in the streets. The mother of the child feared for him, and she loved him intensely. She went out to the mountain until she reached a cleft. When the water reached her, she carried him out until she stood on the mountain. When the water reached her neck, she raised him with her hand until the water took him away. If Allah had shown mercy to any of them, He would have shown mercy to the mother of the child."
