حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْدَهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا حَمْزَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ {وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْأَوْنَ عَنْهُ} [الأنعام 26] قَالَ

نَزَلَتْ فِي أَبِي طَالِبٍ كَانَ يَنْهَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ أَنْ يُؤْذُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَيَتَبَاعَدُ عَمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ صحيح

✧ It was revealed concerning Abū Ṭālib: he used to forbid the polytheists from harming the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but he distanced himself from what he brought. Sahih.
