حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ الْقَاضِي بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوْحٍ الْمَدَائِنِيُّ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَرَأَ {إِنْ تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ يُحَاسِبْكُمْ بِهِ اللَّهُ فَيَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ} [البقرة 284] فَدَمَعَتْ عَيْنَاهُ فَبَلَغَ صَنِيعُهُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ

يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ لَقَدْ صَنَعَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حِينَ نَزَلَتْ فَنَسَخَتْهَا الْآيَةُ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا {لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ} [البقرة 286]

✧ May Allah have mercy on Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān. The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did something when it was revealed, and then the verse after it abrogated it: {It will have what it earned and upon it what it incurred} [Al-Baqarah 286].

  • «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح
