أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْقَنَّادُ ثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُرَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ

{الم ذَلِكَ الْكِتَابُ} [البقرة 2] قَالَ {الم} [البقرة 1] حَرْفُ اسْمِ اللَّهِ وَ {الْكِتَابُ} [البقرة 2] الْقُرْآنُ {لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ} [البقرة 2] لَا شَكَّ فِيهِ

✧ {Alif Lam Mim. That is the Book} [al-Baqarah:2]. He said: {Alif Lam Mim} [al-Baqarah:1] is a letter of the name of Allah, and {the Book} [al-Baqarah:2] is the Quran. {No doubt in it} [al-Baqarah:2] means no uncertainty in it.
