حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَرَأَ {وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنْكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا} [يس 62] مُخَفَّفَةً «رُوَاتُهُ كُلُّهُمْ ثِقَاتٌ غَيْرَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ فَإِنَّهُمَا لَمْ يَحْتَجَّا بِهِ» في إسناده إسماعيل بن رافع هالك

✧ The Prophet ﷺ recited {And indeed he led astray from among you a great multitude} [Yā Sīn 62] with a lightened reading. Its narrators are all trustworthy except Ismā'īl b. Rāfi', for the two Shaykhs did not use him as evidence. In its chain is Ismā'īl b. Rāfi', who is utterly unreliable.
