هَكَذَا أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ الْأَيْلِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الزَّنْجِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَرَأَ {لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ} [التوبة 128] يَعْنِي مِنْ أَعْظَمِكُمْ قَدْرًاسكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ From Ibn ʿAbbās, tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ: He recited {There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves} [al-Tawbah 128], meaning from the greatest of you in rank. Al-Dhahabī remained silent about it in the Talkhīṣ.
