Notes

machine translation"This is an authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) hadith meeting the conditions of the two Shaykhs (al-Bukhārī and Muslim). They both relied on these narrators, every one of them, yet they did not record it. The most that can be said about it is that it is not found among the students of al-Aʿmash, nor with Isrāʾīl b. Yūnus al-Sabīʿī, the eldest and master of them. Al-Aʿmash shared in [narrating from] a group of his teachers, so his being alone in transmitting this hadith from him is not to be denied. The hadith also has another supporting report (shāhid) that meets their conditions." Al-Dhahabī remained silent about it in al-Talkhīṣ.
