✧ The first of people to enter the Fire on the Day of Resurrection are three persons. A man—or he said one of them—will be brought, and he will say, 'Lord, You taught me the Book, and I recited it through the hours of night and day hoping for Your reward.' It will be said, 'You lie; you only prayed so that it would be said, "A reciter, a devotee," and it was said. Take him to the Fire.' Then another will be brought, and he will say, 'Lord, You provided me wealth, and I maintained ties of kinship with it, gave charity from it to the poor, and helped the wayfarer, hoping for Your reward and Your Paradise.' It will be said, 'You lie; you only gave charity and maintained ties so that it would be said, "You are generous and magnanimous," and it was said. Take him to the Fire.' Then the third will be brought, and he will say, 'Lord, I went out in Your cause and fought for You until I was killed, advancing, not retreating, hoping for Your reward and Your Paradise.' It will be said, 'You lie; you only fought so that it would be said, "You are brave and courageous," and it was said. Take him to the Fire.'
