حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ يَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا فَقَالَ «مَا تَصْنَعُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ؟» قَالَ أَغْرِسُ غَرْسًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى غَرْسٍ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْهُ؟» قُلْتُ مَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ «سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ يُغْرَسُ لَكَ بِكُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ شَجَرَةٌ»
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by him while he was planting a plant, so he said, 'What are you doing, O Abu Hurayrah?' He said, 'I am planting a plant.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Shall I not direct you to a planting better for you than this?' I said, 'What is it?' He said, 'Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is greatest. A tree is planted for you for each one of them.'
