أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِيُّ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ أَخْبَرَهُمَا عَنِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ
«لَحْمُ صَيْدِ الْبَرِّ لَكُمْ حَلَالٌ وَأَنْتُمْ حُرُمٌ مَا لَمْ تَصِيدُوهُ أَوْ يُصَادَ لَكُمْ»

And I heard ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān say: We do not know of him having heard from any of the Companions.
