63. ✧ 'Abdullah b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Ansari

    الرَّاسِخَاتُ فِي الْوَحْلِ، الْمُطْعِمَاتُ فِي الْمَحْلِ، مَنْ بَاعَهَا فَإِنَّ ثَمَنَهَا بِمَنْزِلَةِ الرَّمَادِ عَلَى شَاهِقَةٍ هَبَّتْ لَهُ رِيحٌ فَقَذَفَتْهُ

    ✧ The firmly-rooted in mud, the feeders in times of famine. Whoever sells them, its price is like ashes on a high place, upon which a wind blew and scattered it.

    ✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O 'Abd al-Rahman, do not ask for leadership.
