أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنِ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ فَقَالَ «تَجْلِسُ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا وَتَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ إِلَى الظُّهْرِ وَتَسْتَذْفِرُ بِثَوْبٍ وَيَأْتِيهَا زَوْجُهَا وَتَصُومُ» فَقُلْتُ عَمَّنْ هَذَا؟ «فَأَخَذَ الْحَصَا»

✧ I asked Sa'id b. al-Musayyab about the woman with istihada. He said: "She sits for the days of her menstrual periods, performs ghusl from Zuhr to Zuhr, binds a cloth, her husband may have intercourse with her, and she may fast." I asked, "From whom is this?" He took up pebbles.
