Sunan ad-Darimi 803

✧ In the washing of the menstruating woman

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

إِنَّمَا هِيَ فُلَانَةُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ «أَمَرَهَا بِالْغُسْلِ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ فَلَمَّا شَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ بِغُسْلٍ وَاحِدٍ وَبَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِغُسْلٍ وَاحِدٍ وَتَغْتَسِلَ لِلْفَجْرِ»

Translation

✧ She is only so-and-so. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had “commanded her to perform ghusl for every prayer, but when that became difficult for her, he commanded her to combine Zuhr and Asr with one ghusl, and Maghrib and Isha with one ghusl, and to perform ghusl for Fajr.”
