أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَبْدَأُ فَيَغْسِلُ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُ كَفَّهُ فِي الْمَاءِ فَيُخَلِّلُ بِهَا أُصُولَ شَعْرِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا خُيِّلَ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ قَدِ اسْتَبْرَأَ الْبَشَرَةَ غَرَفَ بِيَدِهِ ثَلَاثَ غَرَفَاتٍ فَصَبَّهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to begin by washing his hands, then perform the ablution for prayer, then insert his palm into the water and run it through the roots of his hair. When he thought that he had reached the skin, he scooped with his hand three scoops and poured them over his head, then washed.
