✧ A man came to Sa'id b. al-Musayyib to bid him farewell before going for Hajj or 'Umrah. He said to him: Do not leave until you pray, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "No one leaves after the call to prayer from the mosque except a hypocrite, unless a man is taken out by a need while he intends to return to the mosque." He said: My companions are at al-Harrah. He said: So he left. He said: Sa'id did not cease speaking about him until he was informed that he fell from his riding beast and his thigh was broken.
