حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ بِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ وَاسْتَذْكِرُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ أَسْرَعُ تَفَصِّيًا مِنْ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ النَّعَمِ مِنْ عُقُلِهَا
Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "How bad it is for one of you to say, 'I forgot such-and-such a verse.' Rather, he was made to forget. Keep recalling the Quran, for it is swifter in slipping away from the chests of men than camels from their tethers."
