✧ When a man advises another man while he is absent

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ
إِذَا أَوْصَى الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ وَهُوَ غَائِبٌ فَلْيَقْبَلْ وَصِيَّتَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ حَاضِرًا فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ إِنْ شَاءَ قَبِلَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ

✧ If a man entrusts a bequest to another man while he is absent, he should accept his bequest. If he is present, he has the choice: if he wishes, he accepts, and if he wishes, he leaves it.
