✧ The Testament of the Patient

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ الْحَسَنِ

فِي رَجُلٍ قَالَ لِغُلَامِهِ إِنْ دَخَلْتُ دَارَ فُلَانٍ فَغُلَامِي حُرٌّ ثُمَّ دَخَلَهَا وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ قَالَ «يُعْتَقُ مِنَ الثُّلُثِ وَإِنْ دَخَلَ فِي صِحَّتِهِ عُتِقَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ»

Translation

✧ About a man who said to his slave, 'If I enter so-and-so's house, then my slave is free,' and then he entered it while he was ill, he said: "He is manumitted from the third, and if he entered it while he was healthy, he is manumitted from the entire wealth."
