✧ I accompanied Ibn Umar to Madinah, and I did not hear him narrate any hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except that he said, 'I was with the Prophet ﷺ when some palm hearts were brought, and he said, "Among trees there is a tree like the Muslim man." I wanted to say that it was the date palm, but I looked and saw that I was the youngest of the people, so I remained silent.' Umar said, 'I wished you had said it, and I would have owed such and such.'
